Springfield SEPTA Board Meetings

Board Meetings will occur on the 2nd Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30. We will be meeting at Southwest Center for Independent Living, 2864 S. Nettleton. Nettleton is east of Kansas Expressway, west of Fort Avenue and intersects Battlefield (Hardees is on the corner).

Our next board meeting has been canceled. In its place we will be hosting our first general membership meeting of the year. This will be held on September 14th. We will be approving our annual budget, reviewing and approving our bylaws as well as discussing plans for this years resource fair. If you would like to help, or just want more information plan to attend.

Bio:	Charlie is the father of 4 children (2 Special Needs). He has worked as a Behavior Specialist, and Family Services Supervisor at an ICF-MR and as a Global Case Manager at a Vocational Workshop. Charlie was elected to the SSEPTA Executive Board in 2008.

Bio:	Eric is married and with 2 children, both adopted with special needs. He is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. He is a Licensed Physical Therapist and member of the American Physical Therapist Assn since 1981.

Bio:	Dawn is the mother of 2 children (1 with Autism) Her son has had an IEP with the district from the age of three. Dawn actively participates in an autism support group, Family Bridges, other disability organizations, and the Jeffries PTA. She was elected to the SSEPTA Exectutive Board in 2007.

Bio:	Tim was abruptly introduced to special education needs when he sustained a traumatic brain injury in 1997. After making an extraordinary recovery, Tim went back to college and completed a Master degree in Counseling. He is member of the Brain Injury Association of Missouri and MO Mental Health Counselors Association.

Bio:	Lisa is the mother of 3 boys (1 with Cerebral Palsy). She has a B.A. from MSU and an M.S.W. from Loyola University. She started and ran a support group for families of children with disabilities, (A.N.J.E.L.) for 7 years. She was elected to the Executive Board of SSEPTA in 2007.
